In 2012, North Carolina Community
College Planning and Research Organization (CCPRO) celebrated a milestone 20th
anniversary and CCPRO members would like to express their gratitude to Kathy
Baker Smith and the others who were instrumental in founding the organization. Because of them and its current members,
CCPRO is a network of planners and researchers from the 58 community colleges
across the state of North Carolina. These professionals support each other and
the work of their colleagues at their respective colleges.
Because CCPRO members understand the
importance of collaboration and are willing to share their expertise, the
organization can be an especially valuable resource for those who are new to
the research and planning profession. For those who are veterans of the
profession, the organization is an excellent venue for sharing best practices,
exchanging of ideas, and networking with fellow professionals.
If you have responsibilities or an
interest in planning, research, accreditation compliance, reporting or
assessment, I encourage you to attend the 2013 Annual CCPRO Conference to be
held November 3-5 at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC. In addition to its annual statewide meeting,
CCPRO holds regional meetings to provide professional development opportunities
throughout the year. Please contact the
regional director in your area to ensure you stay connected and informed.
This website was established as a
repository of helpful information to support the work of CCPRO members and
others seeking information regarding institutional effectiveness, planning,
research, accreditation compliance and assessment. If you have ideas about how to improve the
website, please contact one of the executive committee members listed on this
website. We are here to serve.
Finally, I hope you will take a few
minutes to read the history of CCPRO located on this website. It will be very helpful to you in your
understanding CCPRO and how you can contribute to the organization.
I hope to see all of you at the
conference in November!
